TALL was approached to assist with the structural design in this competition looking to redesign the areas around the town of Salerno's (Italy) existing transmitters atop the Bellaria Hill, on land partially owned by the local government, together with the various points of access, internal paths, parking areas and belvederes.

The intent was to create a new public park and a functional telecommunications antenna that unified and substituted the numerous steel structures that had collected along the ridge of the hill.

The competition focused on the landscaping and redesign of an area currently occupied by a series of telecommunications antennas. The design of the new antenna had to minimise visual and electromagnetic impact and provide an example of contemporary design in an urban landmark.
